Conn. native Kevin Lacz on being an ‘American Sniper’

HARTFORD – The movie “American Sniper” has taken the box office by storm. It tells the story of U.S. Navy Seal Chris Kyle, played by Bradley Cooper. He becomes the most deadly sniper in our country’s history. Middlefield native and retired Navy Seal Kevin Lacz plays himself in the movie. He stopped by the Fox CT studio Friday afternoon to talk about his experience.
“It all started with a Facebook message,” Lacz said. “I was in North Carolina at Wake Forest studying to be a physicians assistant and my wife was still here in Connecticut. She saw that Bradley Cooper’s production company bought the rights to the script and she messaged the writer to say ‘hey, this is an impressive story, don’t mess it up.”
